We love Earth Day. Though hopefully we’re getting to a place where everyone respects the Earth everyday, it’s nice to take a day to remember and celebrate what Mother Earth means to us. Despite all of the adversity she faces, she’s actually treated us pretty well. Let’s show her some love.

There are a lot of things you can do to celebrate Earth Day. One of our favorite ways to do so is by participating in our city’s annual roadside cleanup - Green Up Keene. Each year, we recruit volunteers and spend a couple of hours together cleaning up the streets near our corporate headquarters in Keene, NH. It’s a great bonding experience. Even though it’s not always pretty… it’s actually kind of a bitch-slap of reality… it’s still worth it. And we can finish feeling like we did our part to tidy up our little corner of the world.

And yes, before you ask, we did print those awesome shirts the crew is wearing! It’s something we do each year to support the effort. Volunteers all over town love and collect them. It’s nice to be a part of such a vibrant and eco-conscious community. With so much beauty around us, it’s worth the extra effort to keep it clean and green it up. Hopefully you get the chance to get outdoors and pitch in to celebrate Earth Day this year too. And if it’s not too much trouble, keep Mother Earth in mind all year long. It’s the only planet we’ve got.
