Explore the Fantasy Art of Lisa Parker 20th Oct 2017 From witches and warlocks to black cats and assorted midnight shenanigans, October has evolved into a month-long celebration of all things spooky. At the Mountain, we’re fortunate to work with a talented team of artists whose work pays homage to the mysterious nature of the Halloween month. Of particular interest is the work of UK-based Lisa Parker, who is one of the rock stars of our Fantasy Collection. Above: Spellkeeper Tote Bag Parker, 43, has artwork that sells on more than 1,000 products around the globe. For The Mountain, Parker has 11 different designs that adorn T-shirts, sweatshirts and tote bags – including the popular “The Witching Hour T-shirt,” a moody image of a black cat lazing atop a pile of spells and potion books. It’s a scene you could imagine unfolding in the dorm room of a certain famous British school of witchcraft and wizardry. "I love to work with light and atmosphere,” said Parker, “I aim to add drama to all my artworks.” The Witching Hour, by the way, is Parker’s favorite piece of artwork she’s done for The Mountain. She also loves nature scenes, particularly forest and waterfalls. “Witches, like myself are sympathetic to all living things,” she said. "I have an affinity with witches, I feel connected to nature." It was, in fact, when she was enjoying the breathtaking natural scenery of Canada (where her brother lives) that she first discovered The Mountain T-shirts about a dozen years ago. "I loved how The Mountain showcases nature,” she said. Above: The Fortune Teller T-Shirt And we love how her artwork just pops on our products. We encourage members of The Mountain Tribe to follow her on Facebook, where Lisa often engages with some of her 258,000 followers. "I'm pretty open on Facebook, followers on Facebook ask all sorts of things,” she said. “I really don't mind sharing my day with them." #Fantasy Collection #Halloween #Lisa Parker #Spooky Designs #The Witching Hour T-Shirt Facebook Email Print Twitter
